Does anyone in social science research *really* understand statistics? I've tried for years, and I still feel like I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing.

Just one of many examples of the way Professor Read uses the literature to make his ideological point rather than to understand what might really be happening.

My viva is next month, and I've forgotten most of what I've worked on for the past seven years. Does anyone else forget the details of work they did several years ago?

Prof Read shares a 2006 article including 99 persons with a #schizophrenia diagnosis in Finland. But a 2020 paper with 62,250 patients (same diagnosis, same country, 20 year follow up) shows a protective effect of antipsychotic medication (pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/31922669/)
