Year Two have done some excellent coding this afternoon using Scratch! We have created musical buttons that change in size, move and make different sounds! Lots of fun and learning 🎹🎺💻

Y6 enjoyed learning about children from other continents in class today. We read together a letter from Pope Francis outlining his wish for the first World Children’s Day, to be held this weekend on 25th and 26th May. We are all a link in a long chain that unites everyone!

Today, 4L have been discussing how the Church is universal and that our belief in Christ is expressed in many tongues.

With the help of Mrs Tobin, we have learnt to make the sign of the cross in Italian.

In Geography Year 1 have been learning about the differences between biodegradable and non biodegradable waste. Year 1 have been thinking about how we can recycle and reduce the amount of non biodegradable waste they produce.

In science Year 1 have been learning about wild flowers and exploring how to identify them.

Year 1 have been busy practising their races ready for Sports Day.

Year 1 have been using drama to develop their understanding of the story of Pentecost and how the disciples felt.

Lower Phase celebrated a wonderful Mass led by Year 1.

Reception saw and held 3 animals today. A gecko, a bunny and a stick insect . Such brave children!

Reception have enjoyed their morning so far... even with all the rain! 🌧 We have seen some animals and learnt to be paleontologists!

Y5 children represented OLW fantastically at the OLAAS Maths Challenge yesterday taking part in relay problem-solving activities!
