Our democracy works when all of our voices are represented in our leadership. I was honored to speak at the @CHCIDC issues conference today, to empower the next generation of Latino and Latina leaders in Congress.

This #WildfirePreparednessWeek I want to thank the first responders who work tirelessly to keep #CA35 communities safe during wildfire season. My resolution would assist the firefighters who are on the frontlines to battle the various fires that threaten our families each day.

May is #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth . I joined my colleagues wearing lime green on the Capitol steps as a symbol of mental health awareness. We must end the stigma of seeking mental health support and empower individuals with the resources they need.

As #CA35 experiences record-breaking heat waves and extremely dry conditions, it's important to raise awareness of the right precautions that can be taken to save lives and property. I introduced a resolution recognizing #WildfirePreparednessWeek

On Holocaust Remembrance Day, we remember the 6 million Jews murdered during the Holocaust, and the pain and loss sustained by the victims, their families, and the generations that have followed them.

Antisemitism is rising. We must combat hate & discrimination in all forms.

.U.S. EPA estimates there are approx 9 million lead service lines across the US, up to 65,000 of which are estimated to be in League of California Cities. This 3B historic investment would identify & replace these lines, a critical step towards a clean water future in #CA35 .
