It was great to see this clarity of audience & purpose at Atlas Academy last week in Alana tallentire’s classroom. Y3 were writing a persuasive letter to send to Doncaster Council. A purposeful, authentic reason to write, front & centre as children made their writerly decisions.

I’ve turned my attention this afternoon to prepping for tomorrow’s literacy lead network meeting. I completely love using sentence strips to support the teaching of sentence structure 🫶✍️

Thank you for letting me share my thoughts on shadowing the CLiPPA last year with Year 6. We can't wait to do it again in a few weeks! Highly recommend all teachers consider it.
