Alexei Navalny was a great man. Unimaginable courage. A magnificent cause. Just adding this small tribute to the many millions of others. I hope enough Republicans in the US House of the Representatives have a trace of his courage and vote to support Ukraine.

I worked with @evandavis for many years - the nicest most courteous of men but also razor sharp in argument and phenomenally well briefed on all sorts of subjects. And of course especially economics. So bonkers to take him on without a firm grasp of the numbers

Boris Johnson Nope. Your disingenuous self-serving waffle is a busted flush.

That’s why Brits are turning away from your disastrous Brexit… and European Movement membership is surging right now. 💪

Even your dad comes to our local events, I’m told. 💁🏻‍♂️

Brexit: painful or pointless? So we went with both. Just a grindingly tedious mess of cost, red tape, shortages, borders and queues…
A daily demonstration of the lies our dismal govt has told and the damage they’re prepared to do to avoid admitting it.

Out of hours plumber £80-£200/hr
Out of hours mechanic £80-£200/hr
Out of hours electrician £80-£200/hr

But Sunak thinks these junior doctors with £100k of debt deserve only £22/hr for extra locum shifts after working a 48 hour week paid at £13/hr.

No wonder they're striking.

Man in blue jacket, '14 years.. The NHS is broken.. Councils are broke.. Water companies take record profits while they poison our rivers.. UK-based companies aren't paying their taxes.. And you're saying that the Tories have done a great job? I'm sorry sir, but you're deluded'

The National Trust is the second most trusted institution in the country; your party is the *least* trusted institution.

14,000 care home beds lost last year & acute medicine shortages leaving patients, their families, doctors & pharmacists absolutely desperate…
Today, the Tories will be arguing *with each other* about deporting asylum seekers to a country so ‘safe’ that we accept some from there.

Lee Anderson has resigned because he's a man of principle. The same principle that made him lie to a journalist and get his mate to pretend he didn't know him.

I awoke thinking of how the homeless are going to survive the severe weather & how many others are afraid to put the heating on because they can’t afford to pay bills & feed their children as they head off to the portacabin that is their school

We pay £25.50 for wine that can be bought in France for £7.53.

The difference is a mix of factors that include wildly higher alcohol duties in the UK, and Brexit.
