Biggest differences between most recent local results at constituency level and GE2019.

Obviously lots of independents causing 'losses', but look at those Labour 'gains' - key seats like Tamworth and Swindon - they've undoubtedly made most ground exactly where they need it.

The polling is decisive. More in Common found 7 in 10 Birts think social media is harming children. Parentkind found 77% of primary school parents back a ban on smartphones for kids. 72% of Conservatives voters are in favour of a ban on sale of smartphones to children. 12/16

Really pleased to hear Miriam Cates cite this research today in her parliamentary debate on smartphones, social media and young people. As she points out and the research shows the public demand for stronger government action to protect children from online harms is overwhelming

⬇️ Probably the second biggest complaint we hear in focus groups, after how unaffordable everything has become.

Worth noting that the correct response for Starmer is likely not statistically distinguishable from what we'd expect were respondents to answer at random (11% vs 1/11 ≈ 9%).

Proves that something only really cuts through once you've repeated it until you're red in the face.
