A sad update:

On May 5, we received a report of a body in the sea. The body has now been formally identified as missing Richard Parker. His death is not being treated as suspicious, and a file will be passed to the coroner.

Our thoughts are with his family at this sad time.

A man has sadly died following a collision between a quad bike and a car which happened in Marine Road West, Morecambe, at 5.15pm yesterday.

Two people have been given life sentences for murdering a man at a house in Nelson.

Laimonas Prascevicius and Rimantas Vystartas, both 54, were today found guilty at Preston Crown Court of murdering Andrej Minin, aged 53.
