One thing I’ve never heard discussed on either ride share or robotaxis is the assault on the olfactory system that we need to overcome. Every Uber smells like a brown bear car wash pine tree. Without solid maintenance unmanned taxis will smell even worse. What’s the solve?

Is analog foot compression of an accelerator pedal a hard skill? While the digital peddle pushers who make my rides terrible are maybe 1 in 4 I’m noticing a gradient still where equally only 1 in 4 has good pedal manipulation. Too many drivers learn in XBox controllers?

Quest 2 was one of my & others largest successes. We all believed strongly in bringing access to VR through price. It was a platform that could power hands (compute vs Quest 1) but still relied on luminance PT (no color). It’s a transition device to VR 2.0, a great first device.

So Uber when a driver calls me confirms my route says I’ll see you shortly then immediately cancels. That is behavior that should be reflected in their rating but it doesn’t let me provide any feedback. This is a feedback hole.

For a period Gmail had a great feature where every junk mail had a working unsubscribe. Now it’s fairly sparse & I have to find it in the mail somewhere. Why isn’t AI solving the important (and easy) problems for me yet.

Okay, going to try out this Spotify DJ. Not any personalization in the style of IJW (It Just Works) but given they have nearly 10 years of my listen history, skips, etc... might be okay from a song selection perspective. Still if I'm going to hear a DJ talk, personality matters.

FSD economics just doesn’t make sense. The 100 monthly just further screws the people who pay 12k. For those who like to fire and forget it’s a compound interest fail. 12k at 3% (low) and take out 100 per month and you still have more than 2k left after 10 years.

One of the most annoying iMessage features is when it somehow auto scrolls to the center of your messages and you have to scroll for ages back to the bottom. It also does this when you change orientation sometimes. Must be a race condition. If I ever work there I will fix this.
