Be wary of those politicians who want to strip police officers of their sidearms. When the unthinkable unfolds, you want the nearest police officer to be able to intervene and save lives.

Shocking incident at Lurgan park, a dog walker walking two small pups was approached by a runner in full running gear, who proceeded to kick one of the pups causing concussion. Totally unprovoked, both pups were on the leach. Police Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon investigating, any witnesses contact police.

We have an update on a story we brought you last December. The PSNI is reviewing its policy of not routinely issuing custody photos of convicted criminals. Chief Constable, Jon Boutcher, confirmed the review to the Policing Board, saying he wants to 'understand the arguments'.

I’ve warned publicly for years now about the culture of fear that PSNI officers & staff are working under & it’s impact.
It is causing stress, sickness, destroying morale, skewing decision making & more officers are being injured now due to a fear of using force. Action needed.

In 1994 Nicole Brown Simpson was brutally murdered. OJ Simpson got to live another 30 years before dying today from cancer at 76. Nobody was ever convicted of killing her but everyone knows who did it!

Rather than focusing exclusively on him, let’s take a second to remember her!

Listened to the Policing Board’s public meeting on line. Discussions about a specific investigation into an arms find, what stage forensics are at, initial findings etc. It is not for the Board to be supervising live investigations or for public commentary on them. Astonishing.

Officers fear using force decisively due to being investigated for years & punitively dealt with. This is one leading factor behind rise in assaults in recent times. Also an officer assaulted over 3 years ago at Ormeau Rd (caught on camera) still awaits PPS to take case to trial.

It is safe to assume that if there was a serious problem with the childcare system for years, that there are thousands of victims of that system. Something went seriously wrong and the people responsible should be held to account. If nothing else, it is a warning shot at others.

Radical improvement in the performance of the Policing Board is required. The promised review (Sept 2023) into its effectiveness & the Ormeau Rd judgement have yet to begin.
