On the beach before dawn, a lone piper playing in memory of our dear friend Jock Zonfrillo who left us one year ago. It was a true Scottish morning, cold, wet, windy, sand blowing onto our faces. Yes you were there.

Great to have lunch with some old friends. It’s not often that we get to be in the same town and not working. When I say old friends, I mean brothers. These guys are like family to me.

Tonight I’d like give a shout out to my Uncle Tom Barnes who served in the Vietnam war. Take care on the roads everyone. The baking has begun here, some fancy Anzac biscuits with macadamia nuts, do they count?

Teddy is 3 years old today. He’s heading over to celebrate with us this weekend. Says please can he have a strawberry filled sponge cake. Happy birthday wee man.

I enlisted Dylan to help me dead head the roses. They’re still going strong. It was a beautiful day here in the Southern Highlands. We got out to the Sunataram Monastry in Bundanoon for a meditation session. What a spot, the view is spectacular. It was great to clear my mind.
