Today is Armed Forces Day 🇬🇧 and bands from across the The Royal Corps of Army Music are out performing at various events around the country. The Band of the Irish Guards will be providing musical support in Windsor today for Changing the Guard.

The Band wish to extend our warmest congratulations to WO2 Chambers, Senior Drum Major of the Household Division for being awarded a Member of the Victorian Order.

On Saturday the band performed in The Major General's Review of Trooping The Colour. It is less than two weeks now until the big day itself on the 17th June - HM The King's first official Birthday Parade as a Monarch!

Tomorrow, the Band of the Irish Guards will be providing musical support to Changing the Guard at St James's Palace so come and hear us as we march down the Mall!

Yesterday, we were honoured to have two distinguished guests watch the band provide musical support to Changing the Guard, WO1 John Franklin, a bandmaster from the Australian Army Band Corps and Mr Daniel Kieghran VC. The Band was privileged to host these honoured guests.

The band have been in the practice room today preparing for the start of Easter court at Windsor Castle this week. Here is an extract from our rehearsal earlier of “Irish Salute”, a piece we will be performing for Windsor Guard tomorrow and Wednesday. Come along to see us play.
