#HealthcareThursdays Start attending the antenatal clinic as soon as you know that you are expecting. Antenatal care is when you get check-ups from the clinic throughout your pregnancy. Your health care provider will monitor your future baby’s development.

#RoadToNHI This is not just a law; it is a promise of a better, healthier future all South Africans.
#RoadToNHI President Cyril Ramaphosa signed the National Health Insurance (NHI) Bill into law at a ceremony at the Union Building, Pretoria on Wednesday (15 May).
The president said that the NHI aims to level the playing field and merge the country’s fractured systems.
#RoafToHealth I am calling on health professionals and healthcare workers not to listen to fear mongers who are scaring them and agitating for emigration from the RSA. This is our only country, and we have achieved a lot in the 30 years of democracy and we can achieve more.
#RoadToNHI We are inviting every role-player to become a part of the solutions towards realising a just, equitable and sustainable health system that addresses the health needs of all our people, irrespective of where they reside or their socioeconomic status.
#RoadToNHI The Department is busy preparing Regulations as mandated by the provisions in Section 55. The Minister will publish these regulations for public comment, encouraging transparency and inclusivity in shaping the governance of the NHI Fund and its enabling structures.
#RoadToNHI The objective of the NHI is directed at unifying our fragmented health system and ensuring that Section 27 of the Constitution (right of access to health care) is realised. The NHI is not just a policy issue; it's a commitment to the well-being of every South African.
#RoadToNHI As we steadfastly continue with our efforts, we must recall the Freedom Charter, which says, “A preventative health system shall be run by the State and free medical care and hospitalisation shall be provided for all, with special care for mothers and young children.'.
#RoadToNHI The journey to today’s landmark moment began in 1994 with the post-apartheid government's commitment to healthcare reform. Over the decades, numerous committees, inclusive of diverse stakeholders, have been diligently working to shape the future of our health system.
#RoadToNHI The vision of the ANC for South Africa with regards to health starts as far back as 1942, as expressed in the African Claims document under the leadership of President Dr AB Xuma, which even at that time already had an outline of the type of NHI that RSA must adopt.
#RoadToNHI Today marks a historic milestone as we are here to witness the signing of the NHI Bill into law, a transformative leap for our nation's health policy.
Health providers will play a crucial role in NHI implementation. They are the essential life force for health to deliver the Sustainable Development Goals and Universal Health Coverage.
#RoadToNHI
Today marks an important milestone on South Africa's journey towards Universal Health Coverage, to ensure access to quality and affordable health care services for all South Africans. #RoadToNHI
#LovePlayTalk with John Murray Young children need a safe environment and loving caregivers who can help them explore the world around them. Ordinary loving things that you do such as holding, talking, playing, and reading to your child are what helps them grow and develop.
