Only twice in my life have I seen a better display of the Merry Dancers than last night.

In a camping trip to the Ben Alder range of hills in March 2022 I woke up to shuffling deer near the tent. I looked at my watch: 4.30am. Why was it so light? I opened the tent door and saw a full moon illuminate the snow-covered hills. The brightest I've ever seen.
