Very excited about the new 'Incredible Insects' Florida Museum exhibit on #Insects !! So much work by Daniels Lab and UF/IFAS Entomology & Nematology. The displays (will post more) will be ongoing until Sept 2! Come check it out! This is a video room with zoom-ups of bugs (music will be playing too)!

The Echo moth, Seriarctia echo, on my finger this morning. Beautifully striped moth, found mostly in Southeastern US. Likely poisonous (if eaten)!

More Luna moths in the yard this morning! Tattered wings on some indicate the first generation of the spring is slowly nearing the end. Truly awesome insects!

Really tough day today learning that my MS and PhD advisor, Charlie Mitter, passed away unexpectedly. He was an amazing scientist, and like a father to me. Everyday I strive to be like him. Will be greatly missed.
