If you wonder what Paddington Bear is up to nowadays, it looks like he owns an ice cream company. Or at least my supermarket is selling marmalade sandwich ice cream. Which I’m pretty sure is something that really doesn’t need to exist, unless you are Paddington Bear.

The first cervical vertebra is named Atlas, for the mythical Titan condemned to hold up the globe of the heavens. Curiously, many people have a control part located in the neck that believes the head will fall off if it stops controlling. You can tell it it doesn’t need to. :)

Two years ago, Isele Magazine published some personal favorites out of my poetry, including “Liger, Liger, Burning Bright (Or Bennifer in Space)”, my first erasure poem “Letters Inspired by Light” and the most Dutch poem in existence, “The Night Watch”.  iselemagazine.com/2022/04/30/fiv…

For quite a while it felt like I had long integrated the “last” bits of no-self, but in the recent months there have been some late integration insights, some quite existential. I just find it hard to put them into words, perhaps also because I don't fully understand them yet.

Many recent events have made me think about this article I wrote in 2021. It feels like one of the most important things I've written in my life (and that's a lot), something that everyone should read. maija-haavisto.medium.com/yes-means-no-n…

People in some countries: It's a good idea to have an annual physical.

People in Finland: They stopped giving out non-urgent appointments a long time ago, but if I have a pressing issue I might be able to see a GP in a year, does that count?

Last night I dreamed I was at Vibecamp and there were a lot of kids who were all made to sleep in a Lundia bookshelf as if it was a weird bunk bed. I was a bit suspicious if that was entirely safe. :P

Bulgarians really know their lactofermentation, also with vegan stuff. Delish has a big line of fermented cashew products and my favorite is the black garlic cheese block. 94% cashews, rest is black garlic, culture (incl. L. bulgaricus, of course), salt. Complex and delicious.

Guiding prompt for imaginal work: what if this memory was a photo and you can do what you want with it. Maybe you’ll frame it on the wall, maybe you’ll stick it in the album and never look at it again, or maybe it’s actually a yellowed, faded Polaroid?

Been focusing more and more explicitly on aliveness in my guiding work recently. Spaciousness is very important too and often works great in the imaginal, but so is aliveness, and meditative traditions often focus on spaciousness while neglecting aliveness.

This month has been so weird and I wrote a poem about it. “Estrella. Australia.” became a dense fractal of meaning with a whole cast of characters, wordplay in several languages and words with half a dozen meanings. Several good friends of mine really liked it, which is nice. :)

Sometimes it feels lonely in spiritual communities with secure attachment and not having dissociation. It seems like many spiritual practices require dissociation, so I can’t partake, while secure attachment is regularly projected upon, attacked and weaponized.

Spring is such a wonderful time in the Balkans. Or maybe I'm just easy to please. One blooming cherry tree = nice. Many blooming cherry trees = excellent. Tons of cherry trees with pretty traditional bracelets tied to them to celebrate the season = even better.

All bodies break apart with age, but EDS bodies are particularly terrible at standing the test of time. I wrote this poem a couple of years ago and I've been thinking about this stuff a lot again. youtube.com/watch?v=vv2_tW…
