DVISD is excited to celebrate HS graduation on May 23 at 5 p.m. at Strahan Arena at Texas State University. The dismissal times for May 23 will be different than other half-days.

HS and Opportunity Center: 11:30 a.m.
Elementary : 12:55 p.m.
DAEP: 1 p.m.
Middle : 1:50 p.m.

Today, our Transportation Department celebrated Cinco de Mayo with an amazing fiesta during lunch! Our Ballet Folklorico students, DVHS student group, and Transportation Choir all came to perform for our bus drivers and staff there!

Happy School Lunch Hero Day to our child nutrition professionals! Today we will recognize school nutrition professionals and the difference they make every day. Thank you all!

Last night we celebrated our seniors going off to college during the College and Career Center's Decision Day 2024 event! Nearly $100,000 in scholarships was awarded to DVHS and ECHS students throughout the ceremony!

.DelValleHS law studies students participated in Law Day, where they heard from legal experts, including those from the World Affairs Council, the Schiller Institute, and more. Our future professionals had the opportunity to learn from experts to prepare for their careers!

Last night, 25 of our DV Early College High School students were honored at the ACC Riverbat Chancellor’s Reception. These amazing students will be receiving their Associates Degree - before they graduate high school - next week! Congratulations to these accomplished students!

Happy National Principal Day to all of our extraordinary principals in the district! Today we get to celebrate and honor our school principals for their leadership, guidance, and commitment to their students and staff. Thank you for everything you do!

Congratulations to the DVE Owls on winning 1st place at the Chess Federation Tournament held at Del-Valle High School this past Saturday! Santiago Nava and Lucas Caleb Aleman won medals for winning 3 matches, and Athena Jones took home the tournament's honesty trophy.

Parents, students, and community members gathered at Gilbert ES as they hosted their Kids Health and Safety Fair last Friday! The event included a 1 Mile Race with free T-shirts, zumba dancing, blood pressure & BMI checks, raffle prizes, food trucks, fresh food bags, and more!

On Saturday, the Ojeda Student Council and Salsa Club collaborated on a campus clean up day! Community members came by to help the students out and were even able to pick fresh herbs such as cilantro dill and basil as well.

Today, Popham ES got a new playground! The ribbon-cutting ceremony took place this morning with students rushing in to try out the new facility. Thank you to our Maintenance and Operations team for making this all possible!

Our 4th graders at Hornsby-Dunlap ES represented DVISD at this year’s State History Day competition at the Bob Bullock Museum! After winning 1st at the regional competition held at DVHS, they got a chance to go back and perfect their poster before the state competition.

Our CTE Director Norris Sebastian is chatting with a group of business and industry leaders at a ULI Austin panel today. He’s highlighting our partnerships and the importance of strategic planning with those partners to prepare students for their future careers.
