Today, justice prevails.

The Post Office (Horizon System) Offences Bill has received Royal Assent, quashing 700 wrongful convictions.

This is a monumental step towards correcting the wrongs of the Horizon scandal.

We need to ask ourselves how either of the main parties would cope with the challenges the Conservatives have dealt with in the past 14 years:

* An inherited financial crisis
* A pandemic
* Brexit
* War in Ukraine

All evidence shows The Labour Party would have handled it all badly

This is a very long overdue correction of a massive injustice.

I welcome the Prime Minister's apology and commend the work of Diana Johnson DBE MP 🇬🇧🇺🇦🌈 who has campaigned tirelessly on this issue.
