Well done to our Y12 students who have undertaken their #DukeofEdinburgh Silver expedition last weekend. Their journey took them through the scenic routes around Middleton-in-Teesdale. This practice expedition was a testament to their dedication, teamwork, and resilience!

We welcomed nine Apprenticeship Training Providers into the Centre to offer advice to our students as part of our Networking Event. We received positive feedback from students and our guests, who will be joining us again in August.

The EPQ is an additional qualification which is made available to some students to complete alongside their existing Level 3 courses in Year 13.

Millie Swainson entered Poetry by Heart and we can announce that out of 3,000 national entries, she has been chosen as a finalist!

She will now perform against other schools in a grand finale at Shakespeare’s Globe, in London.

Last weekend, our incredible Silver #DukeofEdinburghAward students continued their expedition training!

From mastering tent pitching to honing their map-reading skills, they delved into the essentials of kit preparation and meal planning for their upcoming expedition.

Following the success of Positivity Through Activity week, we are looking for Year 12 students to join the Student Working Wellbeing Party.

You will be involved in making wellbeing focused events such as the very popular therapy dogs!
