Traffic Advisory- 2600 Fondren

On Saturday, May 4 there will be a road closure in the 2600 block of Fondren between the service road and the railroad tracks. The closure will be in place between the hours of 8 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Beginning Monday May 6, the 3400 blocks of Daniel and Westminster from Hillcrest to Hursey will be closed for Snider Plaza Phase 1 construction. The closure will be in place 24/7 until work is completed in mid August. For more information please visit uptexas.org/Sniderplaza.

Due to forecasted inclement weather, the monthly Outdoor Warning Siren Test scheduled for today at 1:00 p.m. has been cancelled.

A tornado watch has been issued for parts of Texas until 7 AM CDT

Severe Thunderstorm Warning including Dallas TX, Arlington TX and Irving TX until 1:00 PM CDT

A Tornado Watch is in effect for the shaded areas until 6 PM. Main concerns will be large hail, damaging winds up to 70 mph, and a few tornadoes. Have multiple ways to receive warnings and be prepared to take shelter if a warning is issued for your location. #dfwwx #ctxwx

The Snider Plaza Improvements Virtual Meeting is today at 2 p.m.

9 am: Another wave of heavy rain is moving across portions of Dallas County. This will cause urban flooding, especially over those areas with poor drainage, low lying and construction zones. Take it slow! A Flood Advisory is in effect until 10:45 am. #dfwwx

A cold front will arrive this afternoon, bringing thunderstorm chances back to the region late afternoon through this evening. A few severe storms with large hail and damaging winds are possible. Cooler air will enter tonight behind the cold front. #ctxwx #texomawx #dfwwx
