Mary, Mother of the Lord, teach us to follow your Son as you did. Help us to be faithful missionary disciples who do not hesitate when asked to serve others and to sacrifice our own desires to do God’s will.

“Rejoice, O Virgin Mother, for Christ has risen from the tomb” (Antiphon). Mary shares in the joy of her risen Lord. Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us.

Immaculate Heart of Mary, Our Lady of Fatima, teach us to love God and our neighbor. Show us how to give ourselves wholeheartedly to the selfless love of your Son, Jesus.

“Grant, we pray, almighty God,
that we, who believe that your Only Begotten Son, our Redeemer,
ascended this day to the heavens,
may in spirit dwell already in heavenly realms” (Collect).
Today we celebrate the Ascension of the Lord who yet remains with us as He promised.

Jesus said to his disciples: “Amen, amen, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in my name he will give you” (Jn 16:23b). God our Father hears our prayers.

Tender and loving mother, pray for us that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ, your Son.

“Father of mercy, who gave us in St. Damien de Veuster
a shining witness of love for the poorest and most abandoned,
grant that, by his intercession, as faithful witnesses of the heart of your Son Jesus, we too may be servants of the most needy and rejected” (Collect).

Mary, our Loving Mother, teach us to listen attentively to God’s Word and to consider carefully its meaning for our lives. May we encounter your Son, Jesus, in our meditation on His Word.

“Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age” (Mt 28:20). Jesus promises to be close to us always.

Pray for us Blessed Mother Mary. In these days of unjust aggression and violence, help us to be women and men who stand for dialogue, forgiveness, and a lasting peace.

“I have chosen you from the world, says the Lord, and have appointed you to go out and bear fruit, fruit that will last” (Jn 15: 16,19). Our Redeemer knows who we are. He calls us by our name.

Holy Mary, you pondered the mysteries of God’s love in your heart (cf. Lk 2:51) and responded generously. Pray for us, Dearest Mother. May we respond wholeheartedly as you did.

“Christ, having risen from the dead, dies now no more; death will no longer have dominion over him” (Rm 6:9). Our Redeemer has conquered sin and death. Alleluia!

Holy Mary, your Son calls us “friends” (cf. Jn 15:12–17). He gave His life for us—once and for all—on the Cross, the instrument of death that He has transformed into an image of selfless love. Show us the way to follow Him.

“No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draw him, and I will raise him on the last day” (Jn 6:44). We are hope-filled Easter people. Our Redeemer lives!

Loving Mother Mary, your Son, Jesus, reveals to us the loving Face of His Father (cf. Jn 15:9–11). May we generously share this love with all our sisters and brothers, especially the poor and those who are most in need of a kind word or a helping hand.

“I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and your joy might be complete. This is my commandment: love one another as I love you. No one has greater love than this, to lay down one’s life for one’s friends” (cf. Jn 15:9–17). Rejoice in the Lord!
