Win was against 27-4 Valley Christian, which also was No. 5 in state. Mitty came in at 17-12-1. You'd call that an upset.

That team's streak ended in 2010 with a loss to Linden. Aaron Judge 3-for-4 with 2 RBI in that game for Linden. Yeah, that guy.

Akili will try to do what Carlsbad's Julian Sayin did last year at the nation's most prestigious summer event and that's be MVP of the Elite 11 Finals. Congrats.

Doing it in an NCS title game is something else, however.

Clovis West 26-6 vs Liberty (Bakersfield) 28-4 is an outstanding matchup for Central Sec D1 baseball title.
Both teams inside top 15 in the state. If Liberty wins, could be a possible high seed in SoCal D1 playoffs. Clovis West likely in the north.
