Today, on #MayDay , or #InternationalWorkersDay , I met w Workers Defense Project & reaffirmed my opposition to #SB4 & how important it is to make sure we do everything we can to blunt this assault on immigrants. Today, & every day, we will continue in the fight for workers rights.

Today I joined Natasha Harper-Madison & Council Member Chito Vela to celebrate the start of AAPI Heritage Month by presenting a proclamation at the Asian American Employment Network Annual Luncheon! I was proud to do so as the first ever South Asian & second ever Asian to serve on Austin City Council.
