This article mentions our The Catholic Project report on differences between younger and older priests. It’s worth noting that while younger priests are the most theologically orthodox cohort, they are also the most politically moderate and ethnically diverse.

Another dimension of this: it bears some pretty clear signs of being significatly edited/rearranged. My guess is that the author originally wrote a pretty balanced piece, and then editors reframed it as a spooky trad story. But the rest of the piece (and ending) doesnt follow.
