Theo Crosby was the Technical Editor of Architectural Design magazine, from 1953-1962 and designed many covers for the magazine. Under its editor, Monica Pidgeon, the magazine was a consciously alternative voice to the Architectural Review. designreviewed.com/artefacts/arch… #theocrosby
📮 For #PostboxSaturday here’s a curious combo: The K4 kiosk was adapted from the K2 model, designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott. Introduced in 1930, it combined a telephone with a stamp dispenser and post box.
Something of a failed experiment, just 50 were made and only 5 remain.
