A beautiful evening to be out birding in south-west Worcestershire.

The Common Crane was still at Longdon Marsh plus at least one Great White Egret (4 reported earlier) and a Red Kite amongst the highlights.

Also a Grasshopper Warbler reeling at Castlemorton Common.

Male Red-fronted Rosefinch at Sela .

This was by far the scarcest rosefinch species we saw and at 13,700 feet elevation, it was also the highest!

Definitely one of the highlights of the trip and just one of many great birds that we saw in this high altitude wilderness.

Jerdon's Babbler was the highlight of birding along the Dibang River this morning.

Even better was to come later when we saw a female Bengal Florican in flight nearby.
