Fawns stay safely in the undergrowth and where mum leaves them while she forages. They are commonly picked up by well meaning humans. Mum knows exactly where she left them so please don't steal them. If in doubt leave and call your local rescue.

Who knew? A 'knocker-up” would trawl the streets and wake paying customers in time for work. Armed with sticks or a pea shooter—they tapped on windows or blasted them with dried peas. I wonder what reaction they got, some people just don't do mornings!!!

Two horses killed, Giovinco and Pikar. Mac Tottie taken away via ambulance today, others bleeding from the nose, breathing problems and lame/injury. Every year horses die, 200 horses are killed every year racing in the UK. #GrandNational2024

Martha the Kestrel is on cage rest for a fractured shoulder. There is no guarantee that this will heal but we are doing everything we can. She's very bright, feisty and obviously cute , fingers crossed for Martha xxx

Update: There's only one thing that Alison loves more than towel bathing on her back and that's eating. If you creep into her ward you can catch her just before she heads to the safety of her box. She's still poorly & fighting infection but she is looking so much better. Xxx

Cheeky security robin' sitting on eggs, intently watching the world. It is one of our hoses but it's now 'out of order' & safely fixed open. So many places to nest & they had to choose there. We are of course delivering a daily feed of mealworms to aid Mum and Dad Xxx

Poorly Alison was bought in after a suspected dog attack. She has deep severely infected wounds all over her body. Sally has done all she can to help her. After a long op she is now resting and we are all hoping. Good luck Ali xxx
