Premier Danielle Smith will be in Calgary on Monday to announce “a major passenger rail initiative for Alberta.”

The city-wide rezoning public hearing has wrapped up for the weekend.

Council will be back on Monday to continue hearing from Calgarians.

There are now 202 panels (5 people each), and city council has heard from 115 of those panels this week.

As city-wide rezoning public hearing enters Day 6, the City of Calgary has released a schedule for proceedings next week.

BREAKING: Government of Alberta introduces Bill 20. It includes the ability for cabinet to remove a councillor, and direct municipalities to amend/remove bylaws.

It also introduces non-provincial/fed affiliated political parties in Edmonton/Calgary.

It’s Day 4 of the public hearing on city-wide rezoning at Calgary city hall.

We’re currently on Panel 55 out of an estimated 181 panels.

Council will recess this afternoon to allow for a Calgary Planning Commission meeting.
