The day Theresa May and George Osborne visited the school to congratulate Kathy Mills, our founding Headmistress and to commemorate the laying of the foundations of the school. This was a significant event as it sealed the merger of Mount Carmel and St. Hilary's Schools.

As we celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Alderley Edge School for Girls, we revisit cherished memories and take a moment to reflect on how far we have come since the beginning.

Year 1 have been working very hard in maths working out doubles and using this skill during their finger painting session to create colourful ladybirds! The girls even made their own number hats to raise money for the NSPCC, making an impact, one donation at a time. #NSPCC #gsauk

This week, some of our GCSE & A Level students have enjoyed a trip to Geneva to visit CERN, one of the world's largest centres for scientific research. They also visited the UN Office where they learnt about the Sustainable Development Goals for 2030! An unforgettable experience.

Last week we hosted the VEX IQ Robotics Regional Competition, where pupils from schools nationwide showcased their expertise in a timed challenge on the robotics obstacle course. Team AESG secured the trophy, demonstrating brilliant teamwork and innovative ideas. Well done girls

Our Design Technology students had an exciting trip last week to the 'DIVA' exhibition at the V&A Museum in London. They explored the world of fashion and even had the opportunity to see some original garments of famous artists such as Adele, Rihanna and Tina Turner.

Happy Safer Internet Day! Yesterday, we were emphasising the importance of internet safety, social media and online challenges. As an Apple Distinguished school, we continuously highlight internet safety, educating pupils on the online world confidently and responsibly. #gsa

Yesterday some of our Sixth Form pupils had their first round of mock interviews. They went through 13 stations where they were presented with a scenario and a range of questions. Some of the courses the pupils will be applying for include Medicine, Dentistry and Midwifery.

Last week we had a special visit from Jennie Guay, the author of 'Howie Blend', a children's book which shares an insight on blended families, promoting diversity and providing an insight on the LGBTQIA+ community.

On Friday, Tapestry week ended on a high as girls throughout the School took part in Maasai drumming with Kofi. Prep and Senior School pupils enjoyed the lively beats of traditional African drums, and having the opportunity to take part in this cultural workshop.

We're in full swing this Spring term with lots of energy and even more wins so far! Brilliant teamwork, dedication and perseverance throughout Gymnastics, Netball, Hockey and Tennis.
